Employee Spotlight – Quality Control
You may not even know they exist but in the back office of G.H. Dunn Insurance Agency’s Mattapoisett office sit three very important members of our team. These three ladies make up our Quality Control Department (QCD). Behind the scenes, they ensure a high level of quality and consistency of our products. Simply put, QCD makes sure what we requested from the insurance companies on behalf of our customers is what was delivered.
We would like to introduce you to our Quality Control Department:
Cheryl has been working in the insurance industry for close to 35 years. Prior to joining G.H. Dunn, Cheryl worked at Liberty Mutual and Trust Insurance Companies in their home office and claims departments until she was hired as an Account Manager here. Three years later, Cheryl moved into the role of Quality Control Specialist. The attention to detail acquired by Cheryl while handling claims makes her the perfect fit for QCD. Cheryl enjoys shopping, reading, working in her yard and spending time with her two children, Kristin & Kyle. She lives in Rochester with her husband, Ray and pocket beagle, Sadie.

Claire was hired by G.H. Dunn as a Quality Control Specialist in 2016. Her prior insurance agency experience as a personal lines customer service representative serves her very well in her position here. Claire has a knack for researching the most complex problems, bringing them to resolution. This skill also comes in handy when acting as a research assistant for her husband’s Accounting & Tax business, Stephen Kenyon, CPA. Claire enjoys cooking and sewing and is involved with charity work in our community. She spearheaded our food drive earlier in the year. Claire lives in Freetown with her husband Steve.
Maddie is the newest and youngest member of our Quality Control Department. She is a senior at Fairhaven High School, working for us part-time after school. Insurance runs in Maddie’s family as her grandfather and sister are both former employees, and her mother is a current employee. Maddie lives with her mom, dad, sister and her two dogs, Bernie and Uncle Buck. She is involved with the Drama Club at Fairhaven High School and plans to study Game Art next year in college. Maddie someday hopes to develop a video game that helps people to cope with physical and mental illnesses. How cool is that?
